Bheemeshwari is just 100 kms from
Bangalore, a perfect weekend destination for the
adventurer also a great outing for the
entire family with a mix of adventure Camping, Kayaking, River rafting, blessed
with natural beauty you will find plenty of birds, bears and wild
elephants. Famous for the finest & the largest tropical sporting fish
known to man home to the great ‘Mahseer’ fish - the finest game fish,
most weighing 100 lbs and above. The fishing camps are Anglers delight the
peak season is from October to mid April with Anglers coming from around the
world.

Galibore : 16 km away from Bheemeshwari. It is
set amidst wilderness and surrounded by nature with the
river flowing you could opt for something nice and easy like the coracle rides
or for the more adventurous ones you have the Water Rafting. You
could also curl up with a book and laze on the hammocks watching the river
flow.

Bangalore NH 209 via Kankapura road south of Bangalore
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit is after the monsoon, starting from
September and April, when the river is full with water levels are up and
the forests are lush green rich with lush vegetation. Summers months
like March to June are warm.

Bheemeshwari is good for the adventurer in you if you are a
keen trekker – go trekking, you could also try mountain biking, water
sports – rafting and kayaking and of course great for treks. Good
for a day trip as well but do call before you get there
Trekking – treks are conducted in 3 categories Easy, Medium &
tough with distances ranging from 3 to 240 kms the treks take you
through some amazing flora & fauna. If you are lucky you could see some
great wildlife from elephants, deer, wild boars, monkeys, crocodiles,
otters and leopards. Boat rides and coracle rides are good.
